Survive better with Scientology

Definition: Scientologist - One who betters the conditions of himself and the conditions of others by using scientology technology. (Definition 1 from the Dianetics and Scientology Technical Dictionary: quoted from the UK "Auditor" magazine 1973).

Definition: Scientology - It is formed from the Latin word scio, which means KNOW or DISTINGUISH, being related to the word scindo, which means CLEAVE. (Thus, the idea of differentiation is strongly implied). It is formed from the Greek word logos, which means THE WORD, or OUTWARD FORM BY WHICH THE INWARD THOUGHT IS EXPRESSED AND MADE KNOWN: also THE INWARD THOUGHT or REASON ITSELF. Thus, SCIENTOLOGY means KNOWING ABOUT KNOWING, or SCIENCE OF KNOWLEDGE. (Definition 1 from the Dianetics and Scientology Technical Dictionary: quoted from the book "Scientology 8-80" by L. The first principle of my own philosophy is that wisdom is meant for anyone who wishes to reach for it. It is the servant of the commoner and king alike and should never be regarded with awe.

The second principle of my own philosophy is that it must be capable of being applied.

The third principle is that any philosophic knowledge is only valuable if it is true or if it works.

These three principles are so strange to the field of philosophy, that I have given my philosophy a name: SCIENTOLOGY. This means only "knowing how to know."

A philosophy can only be a route to knowledge. It cannot be crammed down one’s throat. If one has a route, he can then find what is true for him. And that is Scientology.

Know thyself...and the truth shall set you free.

Therefore, in Scientology, we are not concerned with individual actions and differences. We are only concerned with how to show man how he can set himself free.

Ron's Org (Ron's Organisation and Network for Standard Technology) was founded in October 1984 by Bill Robertson in Frankfurt, Germany. It explicitly differentiates itself from the official and unofficial organizations of the Church of Scientology. The goal of Ron's Org is to apply the philosophy and technology of L. Ron Hubbard and in its original sense, as Hubbard intended it – and in the form that we came to know it: a consistently and uniformly workable method to help the individual to improve the conditions of his life and experience more freedom.

The Ron’s Orgs continued to prosper and the most recent rapid expansion has occurred in Russia. The Ron’s Orgs now operate under the auspices of the Ron’s Org Committee , chaired by Max Hauri, Switzerland. Max and his wife Erica – Senior C/S – were invited to Russia in the late 1990s to deliver a few basic courses and some lower Bridge standard auditing. At the time of writing this – January 2006 – there are some 2,000 people on Ron’s Org lines in Russia and there are over a dozen Ron’s Orgs in Moscow alone. The area continues to thrive and expand rapidly and the stats are high, with numerous OT completions, fully trained C/Ses and auditors made.

As per the landmark bulletin Keeping Scientology Working, the Ron’s Orgs set a very high importance on training and the definition of a Ron’s Org includes the criterion that it must have a courseroom, and auditor or C/S delivering standard tech. No matter to what level, it is known as a Ron’s Org Field Auditor if no courseroom facilities are present.

Ron's Orgs consist in part of people who earlier have been members of the Church of Scientology but have been thrown out because they adhered to the original philosophy of L. Ron Hubbard, or left on their own volition when they saw that LRH's philosophy was no longer being used in a constructive way. The others are people who have learned about LRH's philosophy in a Ron's Org for the first time, authentically and without pressure.
